Taking an aggressive approach in seeking new ideas for publishers and retailers to promote magazines, Ingram Periodicals Inc. offers several strategic marketing promotions that result in optimum exposure and sales. These promotions include retailer catalogs, e-communications, trade show signage, targeted telemarketing, and sample-copy mailings.

An Ingram Account Executive can provide you with availability and pricing.

Pocket Programs Available at B. Dalton, Barnes & Noble, Borders, Hastings, and Waldenbooks. Pocket Programs vary in criteria and rates, and they are subject to chain-buyer approval. Ingram sends updates on available pockets each month.

Outbound Telemarketing Allows you to target specific retailers chosen for their interest in your category or to alert all retailers to important information such as a special issue. Prices are based on the number of calls Customer Service makes to retailers.

Inbound Telemarketing Customer Service will upsell your title to every inbound phone call they receive.

Category e-communications – Independent retailers receive these to alert them to important titles in specific categories. Your title’s description and cover image may be included in these promotions as appropriate.

E-flyers Communicate important title information to independent retailers via e-mail. You select the message, imagery, and release date.

Sample Copies Give retailers an opportunity to see a complete magazine before adding it to their order. You choose which retailers you want to target, or we can work with you to find the appropriate market for this promotion.

Direct Mailings Ingram will work with you to create and/or distribute materials such as postcards and brochures to our retailer base. Charges are based on production costs and postage.

Trade Show Exposure Ingram Book Group participates in more than 90 book, library, and specialty trade shows each year. BookExpo America in May and Christian Booksellers Association International in July provide extra exposure for select magazine titles at the two largest book industry trade shows.
